House #2 - The Yellow Fixer-Upper

This house has a great location, which I think is the main selling point. They've also already received 2 offers and we only have about 4 hours if we want to make an offer.

Pros:

  • Location
  • Fenced Backyard
  • Park behind house
  • Attached garage
  • Dishwasher
  • Egress windows in basement
Cons:
  • Only one car garage
  • Only 2 bedrooms on main floor
  • Needs A LOT of updates














So... verdict is....


We're putting in an offer, but won't be heartbroken if we don't get it.

We went to look at our first house today. 1120 sq ft and an unfinished basement, but below our price limit, so we were hoping it had potential. So what do we think? Love the location. Love the size of the kitchen and dining room. Everything else is small, including the yard. Not as much potential in the basement as I'd hoped due to the odd configuration. It's a no for this one. Looking forward, our realtor warned us that recently they had an offer on a house in South Minneapolis for $20,000 over asking and lost. The 🏠 is in a good looking neighborhood. Once Ingot inside though, ehhh.  I loved the kitchen, it was very modern and nice sized. Very small living room and bedrooms. The basement was disappointing, couldn't picture my kids playing down there. No offer made.  But it was great to finally look at a house. Onward and upward.
